𝘱-value group of companies

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the 𝘱-value group of companies provides full-service medical communications and top-rated speakers bureau services. Under the leadership of Founder and CEO, Linda Corvari, PharmD, the company has carved its niche by focusing on service excellence and commitment to scientific rigor. 𝘱-value employs over 175 full-time professionals across 3 divisions and, due to its remarkable culture and long-tenured leadership team, boasts an astonishingly low attrition rate of 3% (vs the industry average of 30%).

𝘱-value drives to exceed client expectations in recommending go-to-market strategy, memorable content development, flawless program execution, and white-glove service. 𝘱-value’s scientific team comprises over 2 dozen avid researchers with advanced degrees, ensuring the science is differentiated and creatively presented to optimize audience engagement. This expertise coupled with a high level of service has positioned 𝘱-value as a trusted and respected partner with a reputation for developing novel programs and incorporating problem-solving strategies.

“We are a nimble extension of our client’s team, especially with early development companies that are accountable for many different functions,” says Corvari.

Pivotal Link Between Commercial and Medical Entities

p-value's success results from its ability to adapt and lead amid the evolving landscape of medical affairs, which has undergone a significant shift, with increased prominence given to science-backed engagements.

Positioned as a pivotal link between commercial and medical entities, 𝘱-value offers innovative solutions to facilitate the scientific narrative, which differentiate the value of their clients’ medical affairs teams compared to other companies.

The 𝘱-value suite of services extends beyond the conventional. While offering scientific platforms and publication plans, the company goes a step further by challenging and enhancing existing strategies and analyzing data to uncover pivotal insights, prompting further exploration into patient population subsets for tailored solutions.

“When 𝘱-value is asked to review a previously developed scientific platform or publication plan, we comprehensively study the market: the competitors, similar products in development, and KOL interviews,” says Corvari. “If we identify gaps in the platform or areas for improvement, we will outline those areas, reference our sources, and provide actionable solutions.”

In one instance, a client in the medical dermatology space was preparing to introduce a new topical antibiotic for acne. Although dermatologists were led to believe they were significantly contributing to the problem of antibiotic resistance and were discouraged to use topical antibiotics in acne treatment, the evidence was unclear. 𝘱-value formed a panel of expert microbiologists and dermatologists to investigate the matter and gain their insights.

The research findings suggested that antibiotic resistance is more likely to occur within a certain range of antibiotic exposure but the client’s product had a unique PD/PK profile which reduced the probability of resistance.

𝘱-value reviews the developed platform to understand the scientific strategy and analyzes the competition’s work, ensuring differentiated, consistent messaging

This discovery allowed the p-value team to emphasize these findings, helping to disseminate this information about antibiotic resistance, which resulted in a greater acceptance by dermatologists of the topical product at launch.

Key Player in the Medical Communications and Affairs Sector

𝘱-value is a key player in the medical communications and medical affairs sector, positioned as a trusted partner in the ever-evolving communications landscape. Each medical communications client is assigned a team comprising a strategist, scientific director and writer, an account director and project manager(s), and full creative and editorial teams. This enables 𝘱-value to treat each project as a distinct service, encompassing an evaluation of the therapy and market, comprehensive analysis, and active engagement in internal discussions with other scientists and account directors within the team.

“Our success has been in recognizing young talent and providing development tools and training, ensuring employees have an understanding of scientific and market strategies,” says Corvari. “This has contributed to our high stay rate at 𝘱-value.”

As part of its annual evaluations, 𝘱-value conducts meetings with different clients, including those at the Vice President, Executive Director, and Manager levels, to gather feedback to improve its services. The format may be virtual or in-person, but it is always interactive and designed to encourage honest responses.

“𝘱-value is one of the few med comm companies of this size to remain independent,” says Corvari. “We recognize the importance of maintaining our values in strategy, execution, and attention to detail, which differentiates us.”
