Many farmers are shifting from conventional farming to organic farming in a quest for nurtured soil, healthier crops, and a greener future. Aiding them is Norofert Group.

Norofert Group stands as a trailblazer in the organic agricultural products industry thanks to its unwavering commitment to cultivating high-quality bacteria, which are a key ingredient of its robust fertiliser products.

“We have invested in cutting-edge research and proprietary facilities for multiplying bacteria under meticulous quality control and oversight. We also maintain a 1000-hectare farm for testing new products based on bacteria and other ingredients,” states Vlad Popescu, president of the board of Norofert Group.

Norofert Group offers personalised fertilisers based on comprehensive soil analysis. The firm can tailor its products to address issues by examining soil deficiencies. This approach applies to bacterial concentration where low levels can inhibit the unlocking of essential NPK and microelements. Norofert Group offers solutions to increase bacterial life in the soil, rejuvenating it and restoring its healthiness.

Two distinct product lines—plant nutrition and plant protection—form the basis of Norofet’s portfolio. The plant nutrition line consists of liquid and solid fertilisers that adjust deficiencies in macro and microelements. These are obtained through granulation and are suitable for soil fertilisation.

Norofert Group’s product portfolio is split between organic and conventional farming, with 50 percent sold to each sector. This allows the company to serve a broader market rather than focusing on the niche of organic farming.

Plant protection products from Norofert Group comprise seed treatment and follow-ups for pests and diseases, often based on bacteria and natural extracts that underwent six years of testing. Norofert Group promotes this product line as a “hobby line,” sold to retail markets, online shops, and hobby shop chains in Romania. The hobby line targets individuals who grow ornamentals, flowers, trees, and fruit. Although a small part of the business, the hobby line shows promising growth in the retail market.

The Bio Chain technology offered by Norofert Group ensures healthy and fertile crops through tailored fertilisation and plant protection.

The thorough onboarding process by Norofert Group involves pairing a technical representative with a salesman for farm visits. This enables them to provide personalised demonstrations of their products, tailored to the farmer’s crops, while documenting progress and making adjustments based on weather and conditions. By proving the effectiveness in the field, Norofert Group builds client retention and attracts new clients through initial testing, validation, and demo lots. At the end of the year, they provide an official report to the customer for validation.

Norofert Group’s expertise shines when faced with the challenge of combating Romania’s Tanymecus Indicus. This notorious pest is difficult to eliminate with traditional pesticides, but Norofert’s cutting-edge products have delivered impressive results. Through extensive testing, its team discovered that products were effective in treating corn and sunflower during the early stages of growth and for seed treatment. Its recommendations succeeded, outperforming traditional pesticides.

In a world where sustainable agriculture is more important than ever, Norofert Group is at the forefront of organic farming, delivering innovative and eco-friendly solutions to help feed the world’s growing population while protecting our planet for future generations.
