Novel CNS Biomarkers Summit Europe Targets Greater Precision in Neurological Drug Development
CNS drug development depends increasingly on identifying biological signals that can support patient selection and provide earlier evidence of therapeutic activity. The Novel CNS Biomarkers Summit Europe will convene more than 60 biomarker and translational medicine professionals in London from November 30 to December 2, 2026, focusing exclusively on fluid, imaging and digital biomarkers for neurological drug development.
The three-day program brings together participants from biopharma and research organizations working across neurodegenerative and neurological diseases. Confirmed organizations include Roche, Lundbeck and UCB, while the broader program covers more than six CNS indications. The summit will feature more than 16 expert speakers alongside two interactive workshops.
Fluid biomarkers will form a significant part of the scientific agenda. Lundbeck will examine the use of α-synuclein seed amplification assays beyond Parkinson’s disease, including their potential application to multiple system atrophy and rare synucleinopathies. Digital and translational approaches broaden the program beyond fluid measurements. Saniona is scheduled to discuss translational EEG biomarkers for CNS drug development, while Monument Therapeutics will address digital cognitive biomarkers in schizophrenia. UCB will contribute perspectives on developing biomarker programs that can support regulatory requirements.
