Crops thrive in the abundance of micronutrients and plant-beneficial microbes delivered through seed coatings. To prevent the sticky coating from impeding seed flow, talc, and graphite are typically used as lubricants. However, it has a desiccative effect on the microbes and may be detrimental to a farmer’s health if inhaled.

Low Mu Tech is paving the way for the safe delivery of microbes, micronutrients, and bio-pesticides through its revolutionary patented Cleaner. Safer. Soy. seed lubricant, called “DUSTTM”. Derived from soy protein, “DUSTTM”” is clean, safe, and sustainable. It also does not exhibit the carcinogenic effects of talc and graphite. Low Mu Tech is currently active across over 30 states in the U.S., with its products used to grow 22 different crops.

“Our unique and patented climate-smart technology formulations safely encapsulates and delivers microbes and micronutrients to seeds,” says Brian Tulley, founder and CEO of Low Mu Tech.

The 100 percent renewable solution has added benefits like reduced static electricity on seed and reduced “dustiness.” Soybeans are grown by the U.S. soy farmers, “DUSTTM”” is an inexpensive solution that contributes to an increase in plant vigor, positively impacting the growth lifecycle of crops.

Similar benefits are also available in Low Mu Tech’s liquid seed coating product, “COTETM”. In today’s environment where microplastic is ubiquitous, this “microplastic-free” product is bringing forward a change. It disappears from the soil profile in less than 28 days, eliminating soil pollution issues that are prominent when using other seed treatment polymers in the market.

“DUSTTM”” and “COTETM” can be administered along with other products used for nitrogen fixation or P- and K- solubilization. Low Mu Tech is collaborating with a bioagriculture company to deliver pink-pigmented facultative methylotrophs using “DUSTTM””. The combination is proven to increase corn and soybean yield, subsequently increasing ROI. Low Mu Tech’s “DUSTTM”” and “COTETM” products open a gateway of possibilities for using microbes that are beneficial for plants but still on the shelf in research labs due to concerns with safe delivery. Climate-smart nitrogen fixing microbials are next in line.

The patented innovations for improvements in yield, grain quality, crop growth, and production delivered to farmers is possible through a network of agronomists, crop consultants, seed distribution dealers, and agricultural retailers. The teamsare provided with technical trainings and product literature to raise awareness of the benefits of adopting “DUSTTM””.

Low Mu Tech’s seed lubricants have transformed the lives of many farmers across the U.S. In one instance, a farmer resorted to allergy shots due to skin irritations caused by regular exposure to traditional seed lubricants. After discovering “DUSTTM””, he no longer needs medication to do what he loves—farming.

Apart from having a sustainable product line, Low Mu Tech carefully designed its packaging to maintain product viability and provide a clean and safe mode of administration. Company representatives work diligently to educate customers on proper use.

“With our dry carrier technology that include biologicals, we reduced the amount of material needed for application to one half ounce to 2 ounces of product, instead of the usual higher volume amounts needed in similar liquid applications,” says Michael Musselman, principal and VP of Low Mu Tech. “It’s rapidly becoming the “first-choice” bio-complex inclusion carrier technology for many microbial innovations.”

Low Mu Tech takes an all-around sustainable approach from manufacturing to delivery of its products, keeping in mind the farmers and the environment. This is noticeable as the transport requirements of these microbial seed lubricants are drastically reduced from gallons to smaller doses by using a seed lubricant in powder form as opposed to a larger volume of liquid, thereby reducing the number of containers or boxes shipped.

Low Mu Tech is now transitioning to make “DUSTTM”” available to farmers worldwide. It is transforming the agricultural value chain through its patented seed lubricant & biological line, enhancing the soil, the crop, grain production and quality to new levels.
