Connexius Biologics SEA 2027 to Connect Southeast Asia's Biologics Ecosystem in Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: Southeast Asia’s biologics industry is entering a period of expanding research, manufacturing, and investment activity as biopharma companies strengthen regional capabilities and pursue new opportunities across the value chain. Against this backdrop, Connexius Biologics SEA 2027 will take place on October 20–21, 2027, in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together biopharma and biotech companies, research organizations, manufacturers, CDMOs, logistics providers, and technology companies. The event is also listed in Life Sciences Review’s upcoming conference calendar.
The two-day event will examine the journey of biologics from early discovery through development, manufacturing, supply chain management, and market access. Vietnam is emerging as an increasingly relevant participant in the regional life sciences ecosystem, while established markets such as Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia continue to expand their biopharmaceutical capabilities. This evolving landscape is creating opportunities for cross-border collaboration, technology transfer, and localized manufacturing.
The first day will focus on the earlier stages of the biologics lifecycle, beginning with the Southeast Asian market, pipeline, and industry outlook. Sessions will then address biologics discovery and molecule development, preclinical and translational research, clinical development, CMC, analytical development, and regulatory strategy. These areas are increasingly interconnected as developers seek to move promising molecules efficiently toward clinical and commercial milestones.
Manufacturing and scale-up will take greater prominence on the second day. Discussions will cover biologics process development, manufacturing readiness, technology transfer, and strategies for moving production from development environments toward commercial-scale operations. For companies expanding regional manufacturing capabilities, effective technology transfer and process consistency are important considerations in maintaining quality while increasing production capacity.
Supply chain resilience will represent another key theme, particularly for biologics that require carefully controlled transportation and storage conditions. The program will examine cold-chain logistics alongside broader supply-chain considerations, providing an opportunity for manufacturers and service providers to discuss how infrastructure and logistics capabilities can support the regional distribution of complex biological medicines.
Commercialization and market access will complete the program, addressing the challenges involved in translating biologics innovation into patient availability. Regulatory strategy, market-entry planning, partnerships, and commercial development will be considered alongside scientific and manufacturing priorities.
The event is expected to feature more than 30 expert speakers and 350 attendees, with biopharma, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies expected to represent approximately half of the audience. Participants will also include solution providers, government agencies, research institutes, and academia, creating opportunities for cross-sector knowledge exchange. With 40 percent of attendees expected to come from Vietnam and the remainder from across Asia, the event provides a regional platform for companies examining the country's growing biologics ecosystem.
Networking will be integrated throughout the two-day program through scheduled breaks, exhibition engagement, and the Connexius Biologics SEA 2027 Networking Reception. These activities will provide opportunities for delegates to connect with potential technology, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial partners.
As Southeast Asia strengthens its position within the global biologics supply chain, collaboration across discovery, manufacturing, logistics, and commercialization will become increasingly important. Connexius Biologics SEA 2027 will provide a focused environment for industry stakeholders to exchange practical knowledge and explore partnerships supporting the region's next phase of biologics development.
