Aiming to make leading-edge oncology therapeutics more efficient and accessible to all, JE PolyDesign (JEPD) provides its HEMI-LinkTechnology platform that simplifies the development of next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and provides the flexibility to reduce project timelines. The platform is powered by the 2-Hydroxyethylmaleimide base molecule, which acts as the starting point that can tune into diverse target applications.

2-Hydroxyethylmaleimide JEPD produces 2-Hydroxyethylmaleimide involving a three-step process using inexpensive raw materials. Unlike ADCs made via conventional methods with limited flexibility for chemical design, JEPDs maleimide uses a hydroxy group, via the Link, to simplify the process of changing the molecular structure. This creates the opportunity to tune-in the desired properties and characteristics for each specific ADC application.

JE PolyDesign’s enabling platform addresses current challenges like limited molecular design flexibility, poor availability of raw materials with desired purity, increasing chemical complexity, controlled release of the toxins, and low access to controllable maleimide-linker chemistry.

JE PolyDesign’s unmatched multidisciplinary competencies support advanced and complex challenges related to the design of novel ADC’s, from advanced organic and polymer synthesis, applied nanotechnology, the interaction between chemical systems and biomolecules, design of chromatographic media, surface and coating modification, photochemistry and UV curing technology.

Products based on 2-Hydroxyethylmaleimide can also and advantageously be used across multiple industry sectors, such as in photoinduced chemical processes and applied photopolymerization techniques. Essentially, JE PolyDesign’s maleimides provide an excellent enabling tool to boost product innovation, purity, and efficiency in diverse scientific applications.

Backing these capabilities are JE PolyDesign’s state-of-the-art lab facilities at the Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden. Since its early days, these premises have been home to continual practical research, development activities, and large-scale production projects, which culminated in the development of its HEMI-Link Technology Platform.
