BGI Genomics developed and launched its own DNBseq sequencing technology based on DNA Nanoball sequencing technology that was invented in the company’s Complete Genomics research facility in Silicon Valley, California.

BGI Genomics new CE certified 3-in-1 test for SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A and Influenza B provide clinicians and doctors with a reliable single-panel test to help quickly and accurately diagnose patients. Since the flu and COVID-19 are similar in symptoms, the diseases are hard to differentiate. A positive result for one disease does not mean that a patient is free from the others. Facing the spread of COVID-19 in a growing number of countries, BGI Genomics successfully developed a Real Time Fluorescent RT-PCR kit for detecting 2019-nCoV (SARS-CoV-2), which can issue results in three hours. The kit was certified by National Medical Products Administration and received CE-IVD marking. This kit is widely used in China, providing a scientific basis for the diagnosis of suspected cases and the discharge of recovered patients.
