Optimizing Manufacturing for Clinical Development with N-SIDE Production App

N-SIDE Production App provides a feasible plan and the optimal plan for a clinical program, taking constraints and changes into account.

FREMONT, CA: N-SIDE launches the N-SIDE Production App. The app is the latest addition to the N-SIDE Suite and will improve end-to-end clinical trial supply chain management by streamlining the manufacturing. The Production App has saved a large pharmaceutical firm 10.5M‚¬. It is the solution that can truly optimize manufacturing planning for the whole clinical program, from drug substance to drug product to the investigational medicinal product.

Clinical trial supply chains are notoriously complex to manage. It is a dynamic world with constantly transforming information, large uncertainty in clinical trial demand, several teams, and siloed data, which leads to inconsistencies and substantial, often hidden, buffers.  N-SIDE has released the Production App to help decision-making, optimize clinical manufacturing, and boost time to market. The app is based on 20 years of experience in clinical trial supply optimization and offers an innovative software solution to remediate these manufacturing hurdles.

What-if scenario planning enables teams to understand how individual changes might affect the overall situation and proactively model several scenarios to design the optimal plan. With data, managers can make informed decisions and adapt to ever-changing clinical plans. The app optimizes production assets and resources to mitigate waste, budget, and timelines and then facilitates the communication of changes to all stakeholders worldwide.

A large pharmaceutical firm tests the Production App to optimize the clinical trials manufacturing plan for a key biological compound. This is in line with savings by other N-SIDE clients using the N-SIDE Supply app to streamline their clinical trial supply chain. The Production App adds to this existing potential, optimizing clinical trial manufacturing, including lot sizing, lot allocation, and stability planning. The Production App accounts for non-clinical demand like ancillaries and technical demand. It can be leveraged alone or as part of the N-SIDE Suite in conjunction with the Supply App, which streamlines at the individual clinical trial level.
