Invenio Genetics and Imagene Labs announce collaboration in the development of an improved DNA analysis offering.
FREMONT, CA: Personalized health care provider Invenio Genetics and Singaporean partner Imagene Labs announces a collaboration in developing an enhanced DNA analysis offering. Through the latest partnership, Imagene Labs' collaborated ancestry-based polygenic risk scoring bioinformatics system will fuel Invenio Genetics' GeneFolio Fitness & Nutrition DNA analysis, improving accuracy for currently underrepresented health populations.
Understanding one's unique genetic pre-disposition risks is vital in ensuring the best and correct steps are taken to optimize health and well-being. However, gaps in preventive health and wellness DNA analysis are predominantly European/Non-Hispanic White information that most firms' genetic databases. Yet studies have increasingly shown that different ancestries or ethnic groups inherently have different genetic risk profiles. Imagene Labs' genetics risk scoring bioinformatics system leverages machine-learning tools and genetic datasets from all five of the world's primary ethnic and bridges market gaps by providing enhanced precision in human genetics assessment results.
Invenio Genetics' GeneFolio Fitness & Nutrition DNA test harnesses this technology by analyzing genetic variations related to 20 fitness traits and 30 nutrition and diet factors. This comprises an individual's response to exercise, their risk for obesity, and risk for certain nutrient, vitamin, and mineral deficiencies. These insights offer valuable information on personalizing and designing the right fitness training and nutritional intake to attain personal goals.
Invenio Genetics is proud to partner with Imagene Labs for its accurate and inclusive bioinformatics system. Combining racial and ethnic diversity in our genetic analysis offers patients, health systems, and their customers tailored fitness, nutrition, and weight management strategies streamlined for each individual. Inclusivity and diversity is in its NA. Its entry into the U.S. began through our collaboration with Avera Health, an Innovation Institute owner, in mid-2019.
The company is excited that this partnership has evolved to include nationwide providers and payors' networks through Invenio Genetics. The company believes this marks the initial stage of an exciting journey to be the pioneering bioinformatics analysis provider for precision health in America's health care market.
