Element Biosciences Strikes Multiple Partnerships to Integrate Sequencer With Existing NGS Products

Element Biosciences is a multi-disciplinary startup focused on innovating genetic analysis tools for the research and diagnostic markets

FREMONT CA: Element Biosciences is a multi-disciplinary life science business that is actively working to develop breakthrough DNA sequencing technology for the research and diagnostic industries. The aspect will empower clients with affordable, high-quality data and an improved user experience by reinventing every core element of a sequencing system, accelerating scientific discoveries, and expanding the usage

of genomic medicine.

Element Biosciences, the developer of a new and disruptive DNA sequencing platform, announced a key technical milestone in the whole microbial genome, human whole genome, and human whole-exome sequencing applications using the Roche KAPA HyperPlus and KAPA EvoPlus library preparation and target enrichment kits. For high-throughput sequencing, the high-quality library preparation is essential. Roche's KAPAbrand provides innovative NGS library preparation technologies, reliably generating some of the industry's finest quality products.

In genomics, it is critical to communicate and integrate data from different studies. However, the ability to validate such data integration has been limited. Shawn Levy, Element Biosciences' Senior Vice President of Applications and Scientific Affairs, stated that the company is happy to announce a technological milestone: the AVITI System's interoperability with KAPA technology, a big and key application area of Next Generation Sequencing. Generating data on par with or better than leading platforms and demonstrating that this data can be connected between leading technology platforms provides customers with new levels of flexibility and cost-efficiency.

The demonstration of compatibility of Roche Diagnostics Solutions' KAPA chemistry with Element's sequencing platform, according to Cindy Perettie, Head of Molecular Labs, offers customers more flexibility across applications and sequencing platforms to address the growing need for high-performing NGS solutions.
