the majority of the application of these biotech technologies has the potential to enhance the lifestyles of people living in agriculturally dependent areas.

Fremont, CA: Today, biotechnology is perhaps the fastest-growing science in biology, driven by an ever-increasing need for food and fuel in a cleaner, greener world. Biotechnology, in general, refers to a wide variety of technologies and applications that are used to create valuable biological goods and services. For example, the use of biotechnology in agriculture improves the utilization of limited resources, enhances output, and decreases the use of herbicides and pesticides in agriculture.

Genetic engineering, marker-assisted selection, hybridization, plant tissue culture, bio-fertilizer technology, artificial insemination technology, plant and livestock disease diagnostics, and vaccine production are some of the biotechnology techniques used by scientists and researchers in this field. As a result, the majority of the application of these biotech technologies has the potential to enhance the lifestyles of people living in agriculturally dependent areas. Let's see some key areas in agriculture utilizing Biotechnology.

• Biofertiliser Technologies

A bio-fertilizer is a material containing live organisms that, when applied to seed, plant, surfaces, or soil, colonize

the rhizosphere or the inside of the plants, promoting growth by regulating the availability or supply of primary nutrients to the plant species.

• Molecular Breeding

Marker-assisted selection, also known as molecular breeding, is a cutting-edge method used by today's biotech firms. Plant breeders can utilize this strategy to find and combine favorable features in order to accelerate the development of new commercial hybrids.

• Biofuels

The agricultural industry is significant in the production and use of biofuels and also the feedstock of fermentation and cleaning of biofuel, biodiesel, and bio-ethanol. Genetic modification and enzyme enrichment approaches are being utilized to provide better quality feedstock for more efficient change, and greater BTU (British Thermal Unit) outputs for better fuel products.

• Nutrient Supplement

The proper quantity of nourishment is vital for good health and illness prevention. As a result, scientists are developing hereditary deformed meals that include nutrients that aid in the battle against sickness and famine.
